Payment Options
We offer multiple payment options for our patients' convenience. We accept the credit cards shown below, cash, checks, or we can assist you in arranging patient financing for cosmetic surgery. Our choices are described in detail below.
Credit Cards
Dr. Mark Peters accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.
Financing your Cosmetic Surgical or NonSurgical Procedure
In addition to Visa and Mastercard, Ameircan Express and Discover credit cards we also provide a variety of financing options with low monthly payments and low fixed interest rates.
Scheduling and Fees
After your consultation with Dr. Peters you will meet with our patient coordinator. She will review the proposed surgical plan you and Dr. Peters discussed along with associated fees. Surgery proposal for your body reshaping cosmetic surgery
The proposed surgical plan includes the procedure(s) discussed during your consultation, pre and post-operative care, photos and one post-operative garment. You will leave our office with a written fee quote that includes Dr. Peters’ fee for doing the body reshaping surgery and an outside fee that will cover the surgical facility and anesthesia. These combined fees equal your total cost for body reshaping surgery.
There is a date on your fee quote. The surgery quote (practice fee) is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Our surgery facility is a separate entity and as such does not allow us to guarantee their rates will not change in a given period.
Scheduling your body reshaping cosmetic surgery
Dr. Peters performs surgery on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are currently scheduling surgery one to two months in advance. We promise to do everything we can to accommodate your request for a specific date.
Deposit
Choose your surgery date carefully. We consider the date you give us to be a firm reservation. A $1000.00 deposit is required when you decide on a date and this deposit is nonrefundable. The balance is due, in full, 10 days prior to your surgery. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard or Visa. If your final payment is not received on time, your case will be rescheduled and a $250.00 administrative fee will be charged. Your deposit will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation.
CosmetAssure
CosmetAssure is an insurance product designed exclusively for patients of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. Many of our patients see the benefit in this added “peace of mind” since standard insurance policies do not cover complications stemming from cosmetic surgery procedures. Pamphlets are available through our office.
Facility and Associated Fees
Dr. Peters provides for his patient’s comfort and safety by using Physician’s Medical Center in Houma, LA. All procedures are done in their surgery center and recovery and aftercare is on site. The hospital staff is familiar with all the procedures Dr. Peters provides and you can expect excellent care at a reasonable price.
Your surgical fee will include:
- Pre operative lab work
- EKG
- Use of the operating room and supplies
- Intravenous antibiotics
- Anesthesia
- Overnight stay with nursing care
- Deep venous thrombosis prophylaxis (to prohibit the formation of blood clots in the legs)
Your fee will not include:
- Surgeon’s fee
- Chest X-ray reading(if necessary)
- Additional night in the hospital
- Prescribed medications
- Pathology(for tissue specimens, if necessary)
Other Costs
After your surgery you will likely take some prescription medications. For your convenience, your medications will be ready for you to pick up at the Urgent Care Center pharmacy located on Corporate Drive. We encourage you to pick them up after you pre-admit at the Physicians Medical Center.
Rescheduling Surgery
Due to unforeseen circumstances, you may need to reschedule your surgery. In this case there is a $250.00 administrative fee assigned to cover the costs associated with rebooking at the hospital and rescheduling with anesthesia. Should you decide to reschedule your surgery up until one day of your scheduled date, you will be charged $250. |
